Immigrant Jamms

Rapha Memorial 2025

17th April at The Plough Inn - Easton

PROGRAMME

8.30 PM - WELCOME

9.30 PM - The Milon Jazz Band

(Dino Christodoulou, Sax; Niel Smith, Guitar; Pasquale Votino, electric bass; Paolo Adamo Drums).

10,30 PM - The Immigrant Jamms

- lead by Mao Bazurto with his house band.

The evening at the Plough was great. The MILON JAZZ BAND started with very bristolian music (sounding like Get The Blessing, Massive Att,...).

Then Mao started his Immigrant Jamms, which is now quite a success. He was able to put together musicians who know each other well and who deliver a very distinctive sound. He also built up an audience of beautiful people. A very inclusive jam, with no stars, no virtuosity, but a beautiful collective sound.

VIDEOS and PHOTOS of the Memorial

will be published soon

This year, in Bristol, we did celebrate Rapha memory by linking up the tribute concert to the last surviving legacy of the Immigrant Swing musical journey: the "Immigrant Jamms" that Mao organises every 3rd Thursday of the month at The Plough in Easton.
