Raphaël was a young jazz musician, based in Bristol, founding member of the popular band "Immigrant Swing".
He will be remembered in Bristol as a great jammer, as "the voice of silk" and above all as an important magnet of the music community.
When Rapha left, many projects were in the making. We have tried to collect his past recordings and archives and try to present a glimpse of them in this site.
He wrote: “Who knows where the path will lead. All we can do is to plant a seed, taking part in a future blossom”.
Raphael planted many seeds, but he didn’t have time to see them flowering.
The first and most important seed he planted was the building of a big friendship network around the world.
This site intends to contribute to the preservation and growth of this network with the help of his friends, and fellow artists and musicians who are welcome to send any comment, memory, document or material that might fulfil this goal.
